another beloved series that debuted on the DS back in 2005. endearing games that let you take care of dogs, with many breeds to choose from (+ there’s a shiba inu version that only came out in japan). the 3DS spiced things up in 2011 by letting you take care of cats too

this has to be like the only nintendo franchise i know nothing about, but i’ll include it anyway. i’ve heard really good things about fire emblem awakening especially, and that it’s a great starting point to get into the series that popularized the tactical rpg genre back in the 90s

highly acclaimed and revolutionary nintendo franchise: it created (along with castlevania) the metroidvania genre and gagged everyone by revealing that samus is a woman at the end of the original 1986 metroid game, thus creating one of the first ever female protagonists in videogames!

capcom’s science fiction videogame franchise sports over 130 games as of today scattered actoss multiple platforms. a lot of them were released on nintendo consoles and it’s my duty to list them all, despite not being that familiar with the blue guy. i did play a lot of mega man battle network 5 growing up though

level-5’s forgotten series that puts players in an open world filled with yokai to befriend and battle. there’s also a few spin-offs but fans are still waiting on a fourth main game

one of the most important series of the jrpg genre. it influenced most games of the genre, including final fantasy and fire emblem. this iconic high fantasy series features character design made by akira toriyama and all of the currently out mainline titles are playable on the 3DS
